DESCRIPTION
Build and customize choropleth (thematic) maps with 20 world regions. Switch between four metrics: population density, GDP per capita, literacy rate, and urbanization. Choose color schemes (blue, heat, green, purple), classification methods (equal interval, quantile, natural breaks), and number of classes (3–9). Demonstrates how map design choices affect data perception and introduces MAUP.

Animated visualization of four spatial diffusion types: contagious (wave-like spread), hierarchical (size-ordered adoption), relocation (migration-based), and stimulus (idea adaptation). Step-through or auto-play mode shows how traits spread across a grid of nodes with color-coded adoption timing and real-world examples.
Gravity Model
Interactive gravity model of spatial interaction. Place cities with different populations and observe interaction strength (line thickness) based on I = k·P₁·P₂/d^n. Adjust distance exponent and constant k. Three presets: US Cities, World Cities, and Custom. Click any two cities to see the full calculation breakdown.
